Tallahasse, FL-- To basketball now, Rutherford making a trip to Godby Friday night, looking to extend it's winning streak to 11, and nailing down the top seed in that three team district. Instead it's the Cougars, in the home white busting open a close game here in the third quarter. It was a one point game before Godby goes on a 22-3 run, those three points for the Rams coming on free throws. Rutherford falls by 17, 57-40, snapping the winning streak, leaving the Rams 19-3. The good news on the night, since they split their two games this season, these two flipped a coin after the game to determine the top seed in the district tourney, Rutherford won the toss, meaning they get the bye into the district final the week after next, and a guaranteed State playoff berth.
