Rutherford looking for District Title win

PANAMA CITY, Fla- Rutherford is one of several area teams looking forward to a big game Thursday night.

The Rams were the top seed in their 3 team 4-A district two, so coach Hudson's team with a bye into Thursday's title game against, and at Wakulla.

The Rams certainly deserving of a spot in the district title game, a 21-4 overall record, and they were a perfect four and oh in district. Certainly they want the title, and the right to start the state playoffs at home.

"It is nice to know you're already in, but I think for us, we may have an easier road of it, if we win this district championship we get to play here, in front of our own people, in our confines," Coach Jon Hudson said. "It would be a big plus for us, so we want to win the district championship, and I think it will help us in the regional play as well."

Rutherford beat Wakulla 6-0 and 5-4 during the regular season, that game over in Wakulla Thursday night set for 7 eastern.
