SPRINGFIELD, Fla- This week there's another big game on the prep football level as Rutherford and Fort Walton Beach are set to play.

Jeff Rolson and his Rams will be traveling west for that one come Friday, marking the 3rd straight road trip for the Rams after a win last week at Lafayette, and an overtime loss at Escambia the week before. All in all, the Rams 2 and 2 on the season. Newschannel 7 sports Wednesday with Rolson about what he saw last Thursday when the Vikings came east to play Mosley.

"Fort Walton's a good football team, they're physical, they got good athletes. Had a good outing last week. We gotta continue to get better. We gotta score points on offense, we scored points last week and did a good job on defense. We need a good effort on both sides of the ball to be competitive this week. Fort Walton's a tough test they're gonna be similar to Milton in physicality and size so if we can get over there and play well, which I believe we will, that's gonna set us up for our district run."

Friday's game the final tuneup if you will before Rutherford opens district play next week by hosting Arnold.
