Springfield, FL-- We start on the prep diamond at Rutherford's Shamplain Complex, the Rams Tuesday hosting a key 4A district 2 matchup with Wakulla. Those two part of just a three team district so their head to head games that much more crucial.
Rams in white, trailing here in the 4th, that is until Nick Nelson singles up the middle, in comes Sean Kitts with the tying run.
Then they get the go ahead courtesy a wild pitch, which bounces away from the plate, KJ Herron slides in just before the tag, it's 3-2 Rams. Rutherford adds another on a wild pitch in the 5th, then yet another run on Vince Foxworthy's rbi single, Colburn scorers, it was 5-2. Rams hang on from there to win it by one, 5-4, so they finish their four district games at four and oh, which puts them into their district tourney title game later this month and nails down a State playoff berth. Congrats to coach Hudson and the Rams.
