Hoover, AL---Nick Saban and the Tide are among those meeting the press Thursday at SEC Media Days.

Alabama is the team picked by the media to win the SEC, so it's appropriate for Saban to be talking about this new, four team playoff format.

"I'm hopeful that we use some of the BCS criteria that they used over a 13 year period," says Saban. "The knowledge and experience that they have, they usually got it right. They got confused, or when they got criticized, is when there was more than two teams that were capable of getting in. They couldn't have more than two teams in. So hopefully we'll get the right teams by using some of those, that knowledge and experience."

Seven 'Bama players have been chosen as first team preseason All-SEC, so the Tide look loaded for yet another run at the title it seems.

Saban and the Tide report in a couple of weeks. They open with West Virginia in Atlanta August 30th.
