Miami, FL---Nick Saban is enjoying the spoils of yet another national championship, at least for a couple of days. Tuesday morning in Miami coach Saban, along with Alabama A.D. Mal Moore taking time to accept the various trophies that come with winning it all, including the Coaches' and A.P. Poll national championship trophies.
Shortly after posing with those trophies, coach Saban sat down and spoke to reporters about the Tide's 3rd national title in four year, and he said a big factor in that, the strength of his team's schedule within the SEC.
" There's a lot of teams in our division that we had very difficult games with. So it's almost every game that you play in the SEC is a game that you could lose. And you have to be very well prepared for, and you have to sort of play with a consistency. You can't play up and down or you're going to have problems. And I think all those things really help the consistency and the players to understand and appreciate what it takes to be successful."
Coach Saban also joked about not wearing any of his SEC or national championship rings, joking he prefers to sit them on his coffee table for all his recruits to see.
