Saban Talks About the Tide's Return to Practice

Tuscaloosa, AL--- For Coach NIck Saban and his Crimson Tide it's back on the practice field as of Tuesday after a good break for finals and just time away.

The Tide looking ahead to a 3rd trip to the BCS national championship game in the last four years, with that game against Notre Dame set for January 7th.

"It's good to get started again." says coach Saban. "Players have been doing conditioning, simulated training and agility drills for the couple weeks. And this is good to get back to practice, you know the focus being on fundamentals, conditioning, basic things that we need to do to play good football."

Having last played December first in the SEC title game, that means it will be a five week layoff for the Tide between games. Saban and his staff rather used to finding the right mix of rest and work for the team. You can bet they'll be good to go in South Florida early next month.
