Tuscaloosa, AL---While Alabama ultimately fell short of their goal to win a third straight National Championship, the Crimson Tide still are playing in one of the sport's marquee postseason games, the Sugar Bowl.
Head Coach Nick Saban and his staff have been working all week to bring the Tide back to the basics as they still have almost two weeks to go before the game in New Orleans. So Saban says at this moment, instead of focusing on their opponent, Oklahoma, they're keeping things simple.
"You know finishing plays, finishing blocks, finishing tackles, that's probably the number one word that we're out there coaching fundamentals on," said Saban. "We obviously have along way to go toget back in shape but the focus that we have on these first four practices that we have are more fundamental type practices, camp type practices. We're not really working a lot against any opponent or anything like that."
The Tide and Sooners will kick off in the Sugar Bowl on January 2nd at 7:30 central.
