Seahawks Earn First Round District Bye

Panama City, FL --- In a key 1A district four game at Bozeman Thursday night, the Bucks played host to the South Walton Seahawks, who enetered second in league play at 6-2. The Bucks trailing them in third at 5-3.

In the highlights attached above from the early second half, Bozeman in the home white, looking to rally from a 14 point halftime deficit, Christian Byrd nails the three pointer.

A bit later though, Seahawks get the steal and work the break, push it to Ross Martin for the lay in.

Ryan Pelton answers that with another three ball.

Into the final quarter, Pelton shooting again, gets his midrange jumper to fall.

Despite the comeback effort and cutting the lead to seven, Bozeman couldn't ever take control of the game. The Seahawks were able to put this one away as Paxton Dixon gets the runner and one.

South Walton hangs on to win 66-55 and goes 12-8, 7-2 in district. They can do no worse than second in the seeding, and thus clinch a first round bye in the district tournament.
