Seminoles Get Spring Drills Under Way

Tallahassee, FL---Three weeks of spring football are under way in Tallahassee. Wednesday the first day of spring practice for Jimbo Fisher and his Seminoles.

They'll have the chance to work on the field for the next three weeks, capping spring with the Garnet and Gold game April 13th.

In between then and now coach Jimbo Fisher must first and foremost work to find his next starting quarterback, somebody to succeed EJ Manuel who's owned the job the last couple of years.

There's plenty of other starting spots up for grabs, running back, on both lines, but nothing more important than the signal caller. The battle likely between the junior Clint Trickett, redshirt sophomore Jacob Coker, and redshirt freshman Jameis Winston.

When does Jimbo plan on choosing his staring q-b?

"I have no timetable on that, when the time is right everyone will know. I have no timetable on anything. Never put a timetable on those types of things. They'll settle themselves as they go. Rotate them through, and like the way we practice everybody gets the same reps. Everybody keeps talking about....we've got four very good quarterbacks. In my opinion we've got four very talented guys. One's and three's are on one field, two's and four's on the other."
