Callaway, FL---Area prep football teams continue to find different and competitive ways to work out this summer. Thursday night at Callaway Park another example of that.
Three area teams playing a little 7 on 7 competition, those three Bozeman, Port St. Joe and Rutherford. Bucks head coach Loren Tillman says it's a great way to work on timing and the passing game, and it's a very good way of keeping the kids interested through the "dog days" of summer.
"Anytime you get them on the field with somebody else during summer time the kids excitement goes up. They get tired going against each other. Put somebody else out there in a different uniform and their intensity comes up. The work the speed comes up, it's good for everybody."
The first day of official fall practice set for August 5th, so not much rest for these kids between summer drills and fall workouts.
