Speculation Centers Around Leonard Hamilton

Tallahassee, FL--There's some speculation centering around the future of FSU hoops head coach Leonard Hamilton.

One source on campus tells the A.P. FSU is talking contract extension with coach Hamilton, who's in the middle of a five year deal that runs through 2014. He currently makes about a million-five.

Meanwhile in Chicago, there's talk Hamilton may be a candidate for the vacant Illinois job.

VCU coach Shaka Smart just turned down a reported 3 million a year offer from the Illini.

FSU Athletic Director Randy Spetman says nobody at Illinois has asked for permission to talk to Hamilton. Hamilton isn't commenting on any of this.

Hamilton's a hot commodity, his team this season 25-10, 12-4 in the ACC, where he won coach of the year honors.
