Florham Park, NJ---This is a rather busy time for one of this area's own who continues to get his feet wet with his new team.
Port St. Joe alum Calvin Pryor going through some organized team activities, or OTA's, and minicamps with the New York Jets the next few weeks.
Tuesday actually the start of one of the Jets OTA's.
Pryor's yet to sign his rookie contract, that's not expected to be a snag though.
He is participating in the offseason conditioning and workouts. The first two weeks of the offseason program involve conditioning.
The last five weeks include team practices and individual player instruction. No live contact thought.
At least one Jets defensive back is happy with Pryor's arrival, cornerback Dee Milliner saying last week Calvin's a "Great player. A big hitter. He can do good things for us. I believe he's going to do a great job and be able to make plays for us. Receivers are going to know where he's at at all times, so they might get little alligator arms or not want to do as much. That helps a lot, knowing that you've got a killer-instinct-type of guy in the back."
The Jets have a mandatory minicamp set for June 17th-19th.
