Port St. Joe, FL---Call it a showdown game set for Bristol Friday night between Port St. Joe and Liberty.

This game with all kinds of playoff implications for 1-A district 4 our Southern Orthopedic Specialists game of the week.

Perhaps their is more pressure on Port St. Joe going in. After losing two of their first three, they've won five in a row. at 2-1 in district.

Still they trail 3-0 Liberty in the league standings, but if the Sharks win Friday, they'll get the district runner up spot, or share in a three way tie with Liberty and Blountstown for the top two spots in the league.

"Well we feel good Scott right now about ourselves." says St. Joe head coach Chuck Gannon. "We think we're playing pretty good. But we also know we have a tough task ahead of us, we know Liberty's very good. But our kids have responded, we've had some good practice days this week, and we've really felt good about this whole group overall.

Coach Gannon knows both of these small towns, which really rally around their ball teams, are reaching a fever pitch about this game!

"You know we're all excited but we've got to go up there and take care of business. They're gonna be excited, it's senior night for them, I know they're gonna be up for it. We've got to take care of the football and do the things we normally do and we'll just have to see what happens."

Now if Liberty wins, they're district champs, Blountstown will be runner up if they avoid the upset against West Gadsden.
