Louisville, Ky---Let's just say Monday was not a good day for former U.F. assistant and current Louisville head coach Charlie Strong.
Charlie seems a bit steamed because he's having to deal with reports that he's flirting with Auburn and/or Tennessee about their head coaching openings.
So Monday coach Strong made a less than convincing attempt to squash that talk, saying to reporters this montage of thoughts, among other things:
"But you know what happens. I have a great job here. So why do I ever have to answer questions. And I say this to you: If I didn't have a job, if I wasn't head coach, then you would address those issues. But I have a job. I'm never going to deal in rumors. So people can say whatever they want to about me. They've always said it. But if I didn't say it, I'm not going to deal with it."
(Question) Would you then be willing to put all the rumors aside and say you'll be coaching next year at the University of Louisville? (Answer) "But... I will say that at the right time."
All indications are Strong is hiding something, and fans at Louisville that want him to stick around should indeed be worried.
