Sunseri Lost to Tide for Remainder of the Season

Tuscaloosa, AL----The 52-0 win over Arkansas Saturday turned out to be a costly win indeed for the Crimson Tide.

Nick Saban Mondday confirming the Tide's lost starting safety Vinnie Sunseri for the rest of the season. Sunseri tore a knee ligament covering a kickoff in the big win over Arkansas.

Sunseri with 20 tackles, 2 picks both returned for touchdowns already this season. He's a leader on that unit, this is a big loss for the Tide.

"Vinnie has done a great job for us," Saban said. "He's an outstanding player and a very good person, a good leader. You can't say enough about the job he's done throughout the year and in his career.

"I always hate it when guys get injuries. It's a tough part of the game." coach Saban said in his weekly meeting with the media Monday.

Sunseri, who may to be able to resume activity in four months, is eligible to enter the 2014 NFL draft.
