The latest Gulf Coast hoopster to grab that honor is guard Tamara Taylor, who actually has been named first team All-American by both the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and the NJCAA, so a consensus All American nod if you will for Taylor.
Tamara a sophomore guard out of St. Petersburg a 44 percent shooter this season, leading the Lady Commodores with 21 points a game.
She was a key component on a team that went 9-3 in conference, and went on to finish 28-6 overall with conference and state championships, and made it to the national semifinals.
Taylor who will head to the University of South Florida in the fall, now the 15th All American from Gulf Coast. Get those 15 together in their juco prime, what a team that would be eh?
