Gainesville, Fl-- The 2013 Florida Dairy Farmers Miss Basketball and Girls basketball of the Year were announced today.

Probably the least surprising was the 6A player of the year belongs to Choctaw's Brittany Brown.

The Florida State commit averaged more than 18 points per game and made 60 three pointers on the year.

She was a major reason the Choctaw Lady Indians made their first ever school appearance in the State Championship game.

Keeping it in the family, her father, Don Brown, won the 6-A coach of the year as his team finished with a 29-1 record.

South Walton's Head Coach Kevin Craig will take home the coach of the year award after leading his team to their first ever State Championship.

And finishing just behind him was Chipley's head coach Heather Hingson. Her Tiger's finished the season as state runners up.
