The Chipola baseball team had to do some scrambling for airline tickets, but the squad is heading home Thursday night and should return to the College very early Friday morning.

Grand Junction, CO-- The Chipola baseball team is heading back home sooner than hoped for from Grand Junction Colorado, site of the Juco World Series. The championship round isn't until Saturday so Jeff Johnson and the Indians hoping to be out west until the weekend. As it turns out, back to back losses Tuesday and Wednesday knocked them out of the ten team double elimination tourney last night. So Johnson telling me they had to shuffle around some airline tickets and scramble to get everyone a flight home which they did early Thursday. The team flying Thursday evening to Atlanta, where they should arrive around 9:30 eastern. Then it's the five hour bus ride home, so we can expect them to get back the college around 1:30 to 2 in the morning Friday. The Indians wrapping up their season 40-22, with a state title and 5th place national finish, not too shabby!
