Freeport, FL-- Back out to the football practice field and what is going to be a rather abbreviated Spring for the Freeport Bulldogs. As we've shown you in recent days, it's been a long postseason run for the Freeport baseball team and that means fewer players out for Spring drills. And there's fewer days of work for Coach Anderson and the guys that are in the pads. They'll will wrap up week three early with a Spring game Tuesday night against Graceville.

Jim Anderson
Freeport Head Coach

"We got some good kids that are working really hard. And we're missing some baseball guys that we figure will be starters in football. But we're happy for the baseball program, they're doing a great job and it's given some younger guys the chance to practice and play so it's a good thing for us I think, in the long run. It's a short Spring as it is and we have some guys that have really never played football at all, or just played j.v. so we're trying to find out who can play and teach 'em some basic fundamentals. And we wanna have enough plays and enough conditioning that we can get through our Spring game in good shape."

That Spring game Tuesday night Graceville at Freeport, 4 quarters of play starting at 6:30.
