The Gators are preparing for their SEC opener Saturday against Tennessee.

Gainesville, FL-- Let's hit the Florida football front, and it's safe to say after looking good in two "tuneup" games, it's time for the Gators to show they are for real this season. Florida posting impressive wins over Florida Atlantic and U-A-B the two previous weeks, and certainly John Brantley and that offense look vastly improved in Charlie Weis' pro style system. This Saturday though, the quality of the opponent jumps big time as two and oh Tennessee comes to the Swamp also coming off two impressive wins over the likes of Montana and Cincinnati. Is it safe to say the intensity level is amped up a bit for the Gators?

Will Muschamp
Florida Head Coach
"I don't like to treat any other game more important than another one, it's the next one that's why it's the most important one, and it's a great rivalry and it's in the SEC East and it's a game that we need to play well and win, so from that standpoint, sure , it's a really important game and I don't think you need to tell our players that. They come to a place like Florida to play in a game like this. So I do think, I agree with you to a certain standpoint, but we don't treat other teams more important than other teams. I think that's when you start to get an ebb and flow of play and how you approach the games, that's why we approach it that way."

That game in Gainesville set for 3:30 eastern, the 16th ranked Gators favored by 9.
