The Indians get a no-hitter from Johnny Cristi as they kick off a weekend tourney with several nationally ranked teams on hand.

Marianna, FL-- To Juco baseball now, Chipola is this weekend hosting the Fibercare JUCO National Classic, and to say the least, that tournament getting off to a near perfect start, literally. Chipola's Johnny Cristi throwing a no-hitter as the nationally 9th ranked Indians defeated #4 Walters State out of Tennessee 6-zip.
Cristi, a freshman out of Panama, struck out seven and allowed just two walks in the seven inning contest. Chipola then making it a sweep on the day beating Louisburg out of North Carolina 6-4 in a 1 o'clock game, so the Indians head into the weekend 4-5.
Five of the six teams participating this weekend are nationally ranked: #9 Chipola, #2 San Jacinto (TX), #4 Walters State (TN), #8 Middle Georgia, and #22 Southern Nevada.
