The Northwest Florida State softball squad sweeps two at Gulf Coast Wednesday.

Panama City, FL--We start on the juco softball diamond over at Gulf Coast, the Lady Commodores looking to take another step or two towards nailing down the three seed in the Panhandle Conference. But with the task of playing two against Northwest Florida State, the team tied with Chipola atop the standings.
Lady Commodores strike for two in the first, Kayla Minger singles through the right side, the ball deflected by the infielder, goes to the wall, Vogler scores, Minger to third.
Kayla then trots home on Hillary Chapman's bloop single to left, its' 2-zip.
That changes on one swing in the top of the second, Amber Henson with a blast to left, almost into the palm trees, game's tied.
Then in the third, Ashlynn Masters lines a single to right, Whitney Fletcher on second, motors around for the go ahead.

¶there, goes the distance, just the two runs, Lady Raiders take game one 4-2. They go on to get the sweep with a 4-3 win in game two, the Lady Raiders now 12-2 on the season. Chipola keeps pace by sweeping TCC 13-1 and 11-2, so the Lady Indians also 12-2. That sets up a doubleheader for first Saturday in Niceville at 1 and 3 p.m.
