Panama City, FL-- We start with high school basketball and a look ahead to a rather big ballgame on the local calender. It's set for Friday night, as the Rutherford Rams get set to host Godby, those two serious rivals in 4-A district two. The Rams come in with a 13-2 mark, Godby's 15-3. This their first meeting this season.

Rhondie Ross
Rutherford Head Coach
It's a big game because, of course it's a district game. We played those guys four times last year and split with them, and the last time we were fortunate enough to beat 'em in the regional semifinals last year in the playoffs. And it's always fun when you get two teams in the top ten. Right now they're currently ranked number four and we're number 6 in class 4-A.

Tony Mixon
Rutherford Guard
"It will really test what we can do defensively, how we can rebound the ball against big teams and send a sign around the state that we can compete with anybody in the state."

Rutherford, Godby and Wakulla are just a 3 team district, the top seed going into the district tourney gets a bye into the final and a guaranteed state playoff berth. So their two regular season games with more importance on them. That one tips off at 7.
