Springfield, FL-- On the high school football front, several area teams are working through their final week of Spring drills, and gearing up for a Spring game or Jamboree. The Rutherford Rams will be putting the wraps on three weeks of Spring work as part of the Jamboree Friday at Tommy Oliver Stadium. They'll play two quarters in that, one against Bay, the other against Bozeman. That will give the Rams coaching staff the chance to see who's ready to step up and take on some key roles, roles that went lacking a bit last season says the head coach.

Jeff Rolson
Rutherford Head Coach

"We've got to find some kinds that are willing to run to the football. We were not very good on defense last year, we've got to improve significantly. And offensively we're hoping to develop a couple of game breakers. Once we break that line of scrimmage we've got to be able to go to the house. So we're trying to find playmakers on offense and on defense, guys that are gonna run and hit."

The Jamboree begins at 6, the Rams play the second and third quarters.
