Springfield, FL--Let's move to some boys basketball, some area teams have wrapped up their regular seasons, a few others with one more chance to tune up for their district tourneys next week.
Rivals Bay and Rutherford among that latter group, the Rams looking to sweep the Tornadoes on the season. Senior night for the Rams, in the home white, they get the early spurt, first it's Jai Jenks who takes the feed, posts up, spins and scores. Then it's a nice baseline drive from Kieran Williamson who lays it in off the glass. Bay rallies after that though, first David Jones, pump fake, pulls the trigger on the jumper. Then Jones dribbles into the lane nice spin move and scores off the glass, Tornadoes lead by 6. Rams answer before the half, Adam Stanford with the pull up jumper, Rutherford led it by 5 at the break, and win by 11, 62-53, Williamson leads with 21. Rutherford 21-3, and as the top seed in their 3 team district, get a bye into their district final next Saturday against the Godby-Wakulla winner.
