The St. Joe boy's basketball team gets set to play in a region final with a chance to get to Lakeland.....again.

Port St. Joe, FL-- We start once again with another look ahead to a rather important high school basketball game. Come Saturday night down at "The Dome" at Port St. Joe, the 2-A Region One final will be decided between Holmes and the host team. For the Tiger Sharks, it will be a third home playoff game, so that's one advantage. It's also yet another deep run in a long string of deep postseason runs for Coach K and his guys, who just last year made it to the state semi's.
So to the extent that all this can be routine for any high school team, it is for St. Joe.

Port St. Joe Head Coach

"This is, one of my assistants always says this is where we expect to be, so this is where the kids expect to be. Obviously our defense is great, and I also think our leadership, our kids have great composure, our seniors have great compusure and I think that's what's got us here."

Along with defense and confidence, the Sharks have not one, but two big time players in #3 Roman Quinn, and #32 Calvin Pryor. Both can take a game over, but more often than not, they'll combine to help put a game away, like they did Tuesday in the region semifinal win over West Gadsden.

"That's great because if you key on one then the other's open. You know so they've done a great job, especially the other night, of, I think they feed off each other, they play together really well. Neither of them is jealous of the other."

Holmes fighting for it's first boy's state title, St. Joe, it's 9th! That game set for a 7 o'clock tipoff Saturday night, they expect a standing room only crowd.
