Theryl Brown Leads 1A All-State Squad

Panama City, FL--The Panhandle certainly can boast it's share of top flight football players in the state's 1A class. In fact five of them are now 1A 2011 A.P. All-State first teamers. That team released Thursday afternoon,with Wewahitchkas Theryl Brown leading the way.

Brown in fact that classes Mr. Football, with over 22-hundred yards and 39 td.s on the ground, another 550 yards and 5 td.s receiving. He also returned 3 kicks for scores.

Brown missing out on the state's Mr. Football distinction, that going to Miami Norland running back Randy Johnson who rushed for 2,087 yards and 29 td.s on the 5A level.

Four other area players making the 1A All-State first team, two each from Freeport and Chipley. Tight End Caleb McCormick and Utility player Gabe Moore from Freeport, Offensive Lineman Taylor Smelcer and Defensive Back Ryan McIntrye from the state runnerup Tigers.
