Tuscaloosa, AL---It is safe to say both LSU and Alabama will be playing in bowl games when their seasons are over!
Actually the Tide hoping they won't be in a bowl game per se, but the BCS National Championship Game!
They are certainly on track for that shot at a third straight title, and 4th in 5 years. This weekend though, a notable hurdle to get over, as LSU comes to Bryant-Denny looking to spoil Alabama's party! Coming off the bye week, Nick Saban feels like his team is well prepared for the Tigers and beyond.
"You know we really were pleased with the practice and the improvement that we were able to make with some players relative to the bye week." says Saban. "I also think that some guys that have been playing a little nicked up were able to rest a little bit and try to get healthy. So we don't really have a lot of injury issues you know, right now as we move into this November schedule, which is very difficult. Starting out, you know, with LSU."
This time around though the Tigers come in with two losses, to Georgia and Ole Miss, so they're out of the national championship picture. They're still hoping to win the west and a win Saturday a must for those hopes.
Alabama favored in this one by 13. That game in prime time, 7 central on our sister station WECP.
