Tigers Mixing Travel Plans with Football This Week

Blountstown, FL---The Blountstown Tigers continue working towards a Friday date against Trenton in the 1-A State Championship.

Coach Greg Jordan and his team with successive blowout wins the last three weeks over Liberty, St. Joe and Cottondale to earn that title game berth, their first since the team lost in the championship game in 2004.

To say the least, It's been an interesting few days since winning that state semi Friday at Cottondale.

"Once we won the game Friday there's been a lot of things going on other than football." coach Jordan told us Tuesday afternoon before practice. "You know getting our hotel reservations, bus reservations, planning out our stops on the way to Orlando. Once we get out here at 3 o'clock we're able to get out here and practice football and worry about what needs to take place out here. But been a busy week for sure."

Blountstown with 3 football state titles, the last coming in 77, Jordan and this crew would love to add a 4th trophy to that case. The team travels Thursday, the game at 7 eastern Friday at the Citrus Bowl.
Greg Brzozowski will be traveling with the team, watch for his coverage of that trip and the championship game.
