Chipley, FL--There is just one area high school football team still playing this week. That team the Chipley Tigers who for the first time in the program's history, is getting set to play in the State Semifinals. Thanks to the 21 point win Friday over rival Holmes in the 1-A Region Semi's, the Tigers, now 10-2, are practicing this week towards a rematch with Northview. Northview, the champs of district one, with an overall record of 8-3, one of those three losses coming against Chipley in September. So plenty of storylines going into that game. Here's Chipley head coach Rob Armstrong. "Our first time we played this year, I think both teams, it was a good high school football game. Both teams played hard but both of us made a lot of mistakes. We had turnovers they had turnovers, mistakes in the kicking game, that kind of thing. I think whoever eliminates those kinds of things and makes the other team make the mistakes, I think that's who's gonna win the football game."
That State Semifinal game Friday night in Bratt north of Pensacola, a 7:30 kickoff.
