Tillman Tells Players He's Stepping Down as Bozeman Head Coach

Sand Hills, FL---It is the time of year when many high school football programs inevitably go through some coaching changes. That kind of change is apparently coming at Bozeman.

Sources close to the team tell Newschannel 7 Head Coach Loren Tillman told his players Monday he is stepping down as the Bucks head coach and moving to another school.

I spoke with coach Tillman a short time after hearing that Monday afternoon and though he would not confirm he's stepping down, he did tell me changes are coming to Bozeman athletics!

Coach Tillman says he will be part of a news conference at the school Tuesday afternoon at 3, and things will be clarified at that point.

The Bucks are coming off a 2-8 season, that just a year after an 8-2 campaign and the program's second state playoff appearance, the first coming in 2008.

Tillman's the only head coach Bozeman's ever had, and in 9 seasons since the program went to the varsity level in 2005, his overall record is 33-51 with two district runner up finishes and the two state playoff berths.
