Two local golfers, Zach Primavera and Richard Maddox play their way to the United States Amateur Golf Championship Tuesday.

Pensacola, FL--To the links and a big day for a pair of local golfers Tuesday, who are now making plans to head to Wisconsin late next month for the United States Amateur Championship. Zach Primavera of Lynn Haven, and Panama City's Richard Maddox the top two out of 52 golfers at a qualifier Monday and Tuesday at Pensacola Country Club. Zach shooting back to back 67's for medalist honors, Maddox shooting 69 each day. Primavera spent last season at Ole Miss, but will soon turn pro, so this was his last shot at making the U.S. Amateur, which takes place at Erin Hills Country Club in Hartford Wisconsin. Congrats to Maddox and Primavera on making it to the country's oldest amateur golf tourney.
