John Brantley thought the show was all his this season now that Tim Tebow is gone, but Gators coach Urban Meyer says Monday he wants to use a two-QB rotation this fall.

The Florida Gators are coming off a heart wrenching last second loss. And they have to rebound quickly and get set for another dangerous league foe. Following the tough home loss to LSU, Urban Meyer and his guys are prepping for a home game against 4-2 Mississippi State. Perhaps for that game, Florida can develop some kind of deep threat, because without it, that Gator attack is vulnerable!

"Teams will have a tendancy to blitz more if you don't have a home run shot, because you're tending to roll the bones a bit more. So we have got to strike when they blitz. LSU became a blitz-athon, it was just blitz after blitz because we didn't have that, we weren't able to make that home run shot. There's a couple ways to defeat a blitz. Number one is you protect the quarterback and throw it. Number two is you free release people and get the ball out quick. And then the third one is run an option football. Right now we're not doing either real well and that's something we've got to strive to improve on."

By the way, Meyer Tuesday announced Chris Rainey, who recently reached a plea deal to a misdemeanor stalking charge, is back at practice, though he won't play Saturday against the Bulldogs. Meyer says Rainey could be reinstated for the Georgia game.
