Prostejov, Czech Republic----It's a big overseas trip indeed for Bay Countian Betty Wachob. The retired educator beginning play Monday in the ITF Super Seniors Team World Championships in the Czech Republic.
That event called "The Kitty Godfree Cup" for Women's teams 65 and over. The venue is the Czech Republic's National Training Center, Betty, seen on the left her with her three teammates, sending us an email saying it's a beautiful tennis center.
There are 16 countries represented, divided into 4 groups of four with the 4 top seeds each occupying a slot in separate groups.
Betty and Team USA starting Monday with a win over the Czech Republic, winning both singles matches and the doubles match, all without losing a set.
They'll face Belgium Tuesday.
