Lynn Haven, FL---Mosley head coach Brian Wilke is stepping down after nine years with the team, seven as the leader, following a 14 year stretch as an assistant with the school's baseball program.
He helped the the Lady Dolphins to their first district championship this season, seven straight state tourney appereances, winning the program's first postseason games, reaching two straight regional finals.
But now, he says it's time to rest.
"Just spend more time with my family. That's really my main decision that did it. I've got girls now that are moving to different places. Just gonna spend more time with my wife and family that's the main reason behind it. I'll miss it. I'll miss being around the girls and all the competition of it. But I think it's just about time for me to do something different."
Wilke added that he would be willing to help in the search for his replacement, but hasn't been contacted formally, adding no matter what, he'll always bleed green and orange.
