Williams Visits Panama City, Talks FSU Recruiting

Panama City, FL---With National Signing Day for college bound football players now a week away, you wonder how recent change might affect Florida State's list of signees.

In the wake of a 12-2 season, and a win in the Orange Bowl, Jimbo Fisher has seen 6 assistant coaches move out of Tallahassee.

Some moving to better positions, some moving laterally, and one more or less, shown the door.

All that certainly fodder for Seminole Nation to talk about this off season, especially in light of recruiting day ahead.

Just a few nights ago, Warchant.com's Gene Williams was in our area to meet with local boosters, and certainly recruiting, relative to all the coaching staff changes, a topic of discussion.

Many fans there, and all around the area wondering if those changes are going to have an adverse effect on who signs on the dotted come next Wednesday.

Williams' response to that is "There's no doubt when you lose this many coaches especially good recruiters like Dameyune Craig, James Coley, Eddie Gran, guys who were fantastic recruiters, it's going to hurt you a little bit in recruiting. So Florida State is scrambling they lost a few kids, but the good thing is you get a guy like Jeremy Pruitt from Alabama who is a great recruiter, they're getting new guys in the mix that weren't even there before. So why it might hurt a little bit at the end of the day it looks like Florida State is still on track for a top ten recruiting class."

Coach Pruitt the new defensive coordinator at FSU. Again signing day is Wednesday February 6th.
