Panama City Beach, FL--Shortly after watching his pal Andre Allen sign a scholarship offer with Troy, Arnold senior Eddie Williams stepped up to the table to make good on his longstanding commitment to Alabama.
The All-State defensive back, who also played q-b and receiver, was the first commitment to Nick Saban's 2012 recruiting class a good year ago.
Wednesday he followed through. Originally it was thought he'd be a safety with the Tide, now he's likely to start up there as a receiver. After signing on, Eddie was thrilled with the prospect of heading north.
"There's only one thing I can say, one word I can put it in, is blessed man. If it weren't for God I wouldn't be here so I just give all the honor to God. I mean I'm so anxious, I'm ready to get up there and better my career, everything I do. And look at aspects of life way better, so I'm ready to get up there and be better and grow up."
