New York, NY---Tuesday is going to be a rather big night for Fort Walton Beach and Florida alum Danny Wuerffel. He's set to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in New York City Tuesday night.
Danny, who led the Vikings to a 5A state title, went on to lead Steve Spurrier's high scoring fun and gun offense in the mid-90's, throwing the Gators to the '96 National Championship.
He still holds scores of Florida and SEC passing records. Danny will be inducted Tuesday alongside the likes of Tedy Bruschi, Ron Dayne and Tommie Frazier.
After a brief NFL career, Danny established the Desire Street Ministries, a faith based ministry working to transform impoverished urban neighborhoods.
It started in New Orleans but also now in Lakeland, Dallas, Atlanta and Montgomery. So Danny's already a Hall of Famer in more ways than football.
