East Point, FL--- When the Franklin Seahawks hit the field Wednesday for the first day of spring practice it will be Aaron York running things there.

Coach York, pending expected approval of the Franklin County School Board, is taking the head coaching job at Franklin.

He moves south from Bozeman where he's spent the last 6 years as the defensive coordinator for Loren Tillman and the Bucks.

Coach York a 2000 graduate of Mosley, played football at, and received his degree from Louisiana College.

Locals may be rather familiar with his last name, he's the son of former Rutherford and Bay head baseball coach Freddie York.

Aaron succeeds Josh Wright at Franklin, coach Wright became Arnold's head coach several weeks ago.

York will continue his teaching duties at Bozeman and then drive each day to oversee spring drills at Franklin, which begin Wednesday.

Coach York met his new players Monday, he tells me that went well, he's excited to work with what he calls a good group of athletes who are headed in the right direction.
