A Jacksonville contractor has been arrested for selling air conditioning units on Craigslist that had been stolen from businesses and apartment complexes.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Melissa Bujeda says 30-year-old Kimble Starr Butler was arrested on June 18. He was being held Tuesday in the Duval County Jail on $175,000 bond and charged with grand theft, trafficking in stolen property, dealing in stolen property and criminal mischief.
Authorities say Butler was charging customers $650 to $1,600. He was arrested two days after a witness saw a pickup truck drive away from an apartment complex with two air conditioning units in the back.
Jail records do not show if Butler has a lawyer.
