Kristy joined the Newschannel 7 team in June 2007. She hails from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, but is a proud Florida Gator. In May she graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication. Kristy’s broadcast career began in Gainesville, FL where she anchored and reported for WUFT-TV. She also worked for Mid-Florida Public Radio as a host and reporter for NPR’s “All Things Considered.” Before that Kristy spent two summers interning. First she was at 1430 WNAV in Annapolis, MD. Most recently she was at Fox 5 News in Washington, DC. Kristy’s favorite hobby is returning to The Swamp for football games. When it’s not football season you can probably find her spending time with friends or on the beach. She’s also a huge fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens.
