Meagan joined Newschannel 7 in October 2009 from the ABC affiliate in Tallahassee. Meagan started out as the Destin Bureau Chief and relocated to the main station in 2011 as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor. She is no stranger to the news business and has navigated across several mediums including print, internet, and tv.
A Tallahassee native, Meagan attended Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, FL on a volleyball athletic scholarship. While in Tampa, she also worked at the St. Petersburg Times.
Returning to Tallahassee in 2007, Meagan enrolled at Florida State University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mass Communications with a minor in English and special emphasis in Spanish. While there, Meagan worked at the state Capitol as a consultant for a local lobbyist firm and also dabbled in sports as a sideline reporter and nationwide correspondent for the FOX news owned website Palestra.net.
Meagan plays an active role in the community and currently serves as the media spokeswoman for the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation and the American Cancer Society's 2011 "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" campaign. She also serves on the board for the "Young Professionals at the Beach" Organization in Walton County.
