Josh joined the Newschannel 7 team in February 2008 as a general assignment reporter.
He was born and raised in Valley, Alabama. While in junior high, he got his first taste of the news business providing science fun facts to a local news station.
Ever since, he has wanted to be the person who goes out into the community, talking with people and finding out their stories.
Josh is a 2007 graduate of Troy University in Troy, Alabama. While there, he worked for the on-campus television station TrojanVision. He was honored with numerous awards for his work.
Josh is a member of the National Broadcasting Society. He has been to several NBS conventions during his years at Troy. "This organization is a great networking tool! I would encourage anyone who plans to work in television to join."
Although he was honored with awards for his work during college, he gives all the credit to God. "Without God, we would not get the opportunity to do all of this!"
Josh had the fortunate opportunity of interning with FOX 5 News in New York City. He said one day he hopes to make it back there! But for now, the dream of being a "newsman" begins in Panama City Beach!
With his spare time (not a lot of it), he enjoys playing golf and relaxing on the beach. Feel free to send him story ideas!! Until then, you can catch him on Newschannel 7!
