Award-winning journalist, Matt Horn, joined Capitol News Service on May 1, 2013. Matt worked previously for NBC affiliate KSNW based in Wichita, Kansas as Salina Bureau Chief and General Assignment Reporter. While working in Kansas he covered many in-depth stories including Kansas politics and a shift in the state political climate. He also covered a variety of stories including the tornado outbreak of 2012 where nearly 100 tornadoes were reported in a two-day timespan; and general assignment stories, investigative stories and crime. In 2012, Matt won two first place awards presented by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters for best In-Depth News Story and News Feature/Enterprise Story.
Matt is originally from Central Ohio, and graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.A., communications and ethnic studies. He has worked in Rapid City, S.D.; Pocatello, Idaho; and Wichita, Kan.
