Luciana Da Silva joined Newchannel 7 in August 2006, as the morning show's Featured Reporter. Raised in Florence, Alabama, Luciana moved to Atlanta in 2003 to attend Agnes Scott College. She graduated from the women's college in only three years with two majors in International Relations and Spanish. Luciana started her career in journalism at CNN in Atlanta, when she was chosen to become the first intern for the Talent Development and Recruiting group. Because of her Brazilian parents and background, Luciana speaks Portuguese fluently as well as Spanish. Her body language, loud tone of voice, and expressions are strong parts of her Latin heritage that she prides and cannot hide. When not in front of a camera, you can find Luciana catching up on sleep at the beach. She also enjoys traveling, eating good food, singing (only in her car), and spending time with her amazing family.
