Meredith TerHaar joined the WJHG team in May of 2009 as the 5pm co-anchor and 10pm reporter. In September of 2011 she joined the NewsChannel 7 "Today" team as a co-anchor and reporter. She loves starting her day bright and early with Northwest Florida's other early-risers! She is also the "Golden Apple" reporter, recognizing the area’s many hard-working and dedicated teachers.
Meredith worked at WZZM TV 13 in Grand Rapids, Michigan before becoming part of the WJHG family. She began as a producer, then added the roles of feature reporter and fill-in anchor. She has won several AP awards for both reporting and producing.
Meredith was born in southern California and later moved to West Michigan with her family. She graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, with a degree in communications and an emphasis in media production. Interning at WLS-TV in Chicago was a highlight.
She and her husband Eric love living in Northwest Florida! Both are active in their church, love to run, and are trying to become better surfers! Being out in the community and reporting everyday is Meredith's favorite part of this job. If you've got a story idea you'd like to share, please e-mail her at email@example.com.
