I am Vice President of News and Operations. In addition, I serve as anchor for NewsChannel 7 at noon and 5 p.m. I have been with NewsChannel 7 since November of 1971. I served as the station's News Director until July of 1997, when I assumed this current position as Vice President.
I majored in Radio and Television, with a minor in Journalism, at the University of Alabama. I previously worked in radio in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, AL., Fort Walton Beach and Panama City, FL.
I have two daughters Molly and Monica. I have received awards from a number of organizations over the years including the Associated Press, numerous area civic clubs, and have had an annual scholarship named in my honor for a broadcasting student at Gulf Coast Community College.
