Tropical Storm Lee, seen from Space
Tropical Storm Lee is still nearly stationary over Louisiana, and it's rainbands continue to spiral waves of rain and wind over Florida.
A *Tornado Watch* is in effect until 4pm today for Bay, Walton, Okaloosa, Washington and Holmes County. Any "significant" weather is expected to hover right near the coast, especially with waterspouts in the stronger cells over the Gulf. We will be using the power of VIPIR Live Doppler Radar and the 5 minute early warning advantage to alert you to any potentially troubling storms.
Locally, another 1 to 3 inches of rain is possible today, along with wind gusts to 35 mph. It should not be an all-day rain, but when the rain sets in, it will certainly seem torrential. We are still anticipating as much as 5 to 7 inches of rain through the end of the day Monday in a few localities.
A reminder, Double Red Flags continue at area beaches, which means absolutely NO SWIMMING today in the Gulf of Mexico.
