WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Eight men are behind bars after an undercover child sex sting operation led by the Walton County Sheriff's Office.
It only took law enforcement five days to catch the suspects by monitoring smartphone apps and online ads.
Multiple law enforcement agencies from across the Panhandle, including Panama City Beach police, helped in the operation, known as Operation "Paladin's Shield."
All men face charges of using a computer to seduce a child, traveling to meet a minor for sex, and using a communication device in the commission of a felony. Some face additional charges as well.
